The Ponctuation Grafix media connection

In fact, Patrick, who left Ponctuation Grafix about three years after its founding to pursue other interests, turned out to be prescient in his prediction that the new company would combine the best of both worlds — writing and graphics.

Between 2002 and 2004, CanWest Media had a multimedia marketing project known as Momentum Montreal which was a collaborative program developed by The Gazette, Global, CH Montreal (Global’s ethnic television station) and the CanWest website called canada.com

Warren, through Ponctuation Grafix, played a major role in this venture — interviews and writing of 3,000-word business profiles which appeared in The Gazette and which ran for six weeks on the canada.com website. Warren did the concept and writing of the script for a 60-second broadcast vignette on Global Television, as well as oversaw the video shoot, editing and post-production work.

Momentum Montreal took 1st place in the 2003 Best Practices Competition of the Canadian Newspaper Association which included more than 170 entries from daily newspapers. The Writing link on this website has all the Momentum Montreal profiles which appeared in The Gazette.

When Momentum Montreal ended, CanWest hired Warren to write and Ponctuation Grafix to typeset several 3,000 word business Marketing Profiles which appeared in the Toronto-based National Post. Those pieces can also be viewed on our Writing link.

In the late 90s, Warren wrote a weekly business column for The Gazette which can be seen on the link titled Writing. That link also features excerpts from two art books, one which Warren ghost wrote and the other which he co-wrote.

In addition to working with his graphic designers on concepts for promotional items on behalf of clients, Warren, Rodney and Karen have created and published several proprietary original works, including a coloring storybook with themes based on spiritual values to help children appreciate the importance of respect for their neighbors and for their environment.
